Samenvatting project
There is scientific evidence that immune responses can be modulated by nutritional interventions. In this program, we aim to investigate whether nutritional solutions could modulate immune responses against SARS-CoV-2 infection and improve SARS-CoV-2 vaccine responses in preclinical in-vivo and in-vitro models. In parallel we will translate obtained preclinical data to a human setting, by analyzing the effect of nutritional compounds on immune profiles of COVID-19 patients ex-vivo. It is the expectation that this program will provide new concepts and lead compounds for the prevention and/or management of COVID-19 disease.
