Samenvatting

As a global agricultural leader with mature supply chains, The Netherlands has significant advantages in circular production systems for upcycling available biomass. The goal of this project is to investigate sustainable production chains for cellular proteins from microalgae, bacteria, fungi and yeast. The project comprises investigation of growth conditions, downstream processing, physico-chemical functionality, suitability for product application, and sustainability & consumer acceptance.
