Climate change induces water scarcity making an efficient water use crucial for at processing fruits and vegetables in the Netherlands. This project investigates disinfection technologies that will reduce the bacterial load, allowing a reuse of water and diminishing the probability of recontamination of subsequent product batches. This helps producers to work more sustainably and increase their international competitive position in which disinfection technologies are more commonly applied.
